the book i started out with was thea sabin's "wicca for beginners". it's very well written and comprehensive. that book and other wicca-books are partially available for free through googlebooks so you can see which of the books might be helpful and then buy these if you like (better than buying something that sounds good and being disapointed later because it's not what it sounded like).

well I'm still a long way from handing out advice myself.. I'm really just working at the basics and taking my time with it - I figure I have my whole life to learn the craft so why should I rush ;-)
at the moment I'm practicing trance/ meditation/ pathworking - I'd be interested what your experiences are with those?
